The joints in our bodies provide support for our bones and help us move. When there is damage to the joints we may experience pain and find it difficult to move freely. Shoulder pain, hip pain, and knee pain can sometimes be so severe that it affects our ability to enjoy our daily activities. Even joints in our wrist, hands, and feet may be affected.

There are many different conditions that can lead to painful joints. Injuries such as strains, sprains, tendonitis, or bursitis may be a cause of pain. Joint pain can also be caused by osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, muscle weakness, or gout. Many of these conditions increase the swelling and inflammation in the joint which intensifies the pain. Painful joints become increasingly common with age.

After a full evaluation we will diagnose the condition that is causing the joint pain. Many non-surgical treatments are available to address the painful symptoms caused by inflammation in the joint. Our goal is to reduce pain and inflammation in the joint.
